Glossary 4: Other Concepts

Damage: Damage reduces the remaining HP of a given Character. Whenever a Character receives damages, they lose the same amount of HP. If, at any point of the game, a Character has damage equal to or greater than their total HP, they die.

"deal damage": A card that "deals damage" to a Character as part of an ability is not attacking, but merely adding that amount of damage onto them. Dealing damage does not trigger Struck. Also, Toughness doesn't reduce the amount of damage received this way.

Hit a Technology: A card that "hits" a Technology as part of an ability reduces that Technology's resistance by 1. Hitting a Technology does not trigger Struck.
