February Report 2023

Summary

Dear Community, we would like to greet and welcome you all, specially the new members in our community. And also thank you for all the support we've recieved from the start! We have been working on Echoes Pt.2 Launch (coming soon), bringing even more new Deviants to the list. We have also re-opened the bridge for migration, aiming to bring new people to the game and rescue those who didn't cross in the first run. And like every month, fixing many minor bugs.

Re-opening the bridge

After a couple months and lots of requests from our users, we've re-opened the brige. This bridge will stay open indefinetly, but we always urge you to do it ASAP so you can start playing sooner! https://blog.deviantsfactions.com/a-bridge-to-immutable-x-4830f475b9fa

Bug Fixes

Player Total Res Changed.

There are cards like Reinhold or Rahmi that have effects whose impact on the table depends on the RES of the Tech they carry. This relationship between Characters and Technologies has evolved with the arrival of The Puppeteer, who does not only take into account the Technology he carries, but all the ones that may be on your side of the board.

Effects like this require a new event system that allows to review and update the way in which this kind of abilities affect the table.

Thus, a new event "Player-Total-Res-Changed" has been implemented and is incorporated in the stack of events and effects in 2 particular cases:

Case 1: Resolution of a combat in which a Character hits a Technology.

Case 2: Resolution of HIT instances with Technologies as targets.

Thus, The Puppeteer's ability "Inhuman allies get +4 ATK for each RES point in your Inhuman Techs" is set and updates its bonus on affected Characters when The Puppeteer enters the table, when an Inhuman Tech enters or leaves the table, when The Puppeteer dies and when a Player-Total-Res-Changed event is resolved.

Lazy Battle Flag.

Yellow Battleflag was failing some of its Triggers. We have fixed its behavior so that it provides the bonuses it should. Remember that, as a general rule, the same ability can be triggered a maximum of 3 times per turn.

Phantom cards.

Some cards were being displayed in the wrong slot, overlapping each other. This did not affect the outcome of the games as the attacks, skills and technology assignment worked correctly. The problem was when making decisions based on what was shown on the screen when the image was not correct.

Vex Nation Missing Trigger.

Vex Nation started to fail its trigger on death. This problem was solved.

Lazy Delia.

Delia Bordeaux has a skill with 3 different triggers. Lately she has been failing some of them. We have made the necessary fixes to make it respond accordingly.

Sadiq’s Magic Bullets.

There have been reports of people seeing Sadiq managing to hit Techs that are in columns other than his own. This strange bug has been fixed.

End Step Loop.

In the End Step, when the cards are rearranged, the new positioning of the cards can produce new stacks of events and effects.

The resolution of a stack of effects during the End Step can produce new spaces in the formations.

The correct thing to do in these cases is for the cards to be reordered. This can produce a Loop in which the cards are sorted, generate a stack of events and effects, the stack is resolved, there are spaces left in the formations, and then it starts again.

This loop is never infinite, because the abilities of the cards must respect the general rule of maximum shots per turn (3 times).

There were times when shots like Enhanced Teaser would produce gaps in the formation without another order loop starting. This is a bug that has been fixed.

Kelsey and Casemira’s Last Will.

There were occasions when Casemira Kutzov, Kelsey K and other Characters forgot to fire their abilities during combats in which they were defeated. Attack or Struck shots must be resolved regardless of whether their source is still in play.

Tattoo’s Grip.

Binder Tattoo Studio is an HQ that provides Grip to its Inhuman Characters. We encountered cases where Techs made intermittent use of this ability, getting stranded on the table and switching carriers improperly.

The Night of Namonaki Yuki.

There were reports of a Namonaki Yuki refusing to go Void after dying. It stayed on the table parrying hits and dealing damage for more than one round after its death. The source of this bug was located and fixed.

Berserker’s Future Punch.

We have had to refactoring code in depth. This has awakened old Bugs that had been fixed and are now attacking again. This is the case of a particular Bug that affects Characters with the Berserk ability.

We have again received reports of Characters with Berserk using attack bonuses that they have not yet received. Characters that calculate the damage they are going to do by taking into account how damaged they are going to be at the end of the fight instead of looking at their current health. We have taken care of this so that everything happens in the right order.

Preplayed Cards Got Stuck.

The game has a feature that allows players to hang cards from their hand to wait to be played automatically.

We have found a bug that leaves such cards hanging in the air causing players to miss their chance to play cards. This has been fixed.

Pocket Land Power Bug.

Pocket Land has an ability that fires when destroyed. This ability was failing due to a code bug that has been fixed.

HQ UPGRADE: Not-So-New Reene’s.

Reene's has an ability that gives all her Entropy the ability to react with a bonus when participating in a Riot. In practice, this has caused games to take longer than desired. Especially when it comes to Mirror Matches between Entropies.

This is not a Bug as such, but rather a reformulation of the card that allows a similar impact on the table accompanied by a much more limited visual feedback.

Although this new version of the card respects the original idea, its potential has increased substantially. That is why the new ability is accompanied by a small adjustment of numbers.

We have a really solid game that keeps evolving and we plan to continue bringing great cards with amazing art, new and improved mechanichs and much more!

Thanks again for your support! Let's keep growing together
